Use NameFlow in ChatGPT

Connect NameFlow to ChatGPT as a custom MCP connector to find available domain names with real prices, buy within your limits and set up DNS from the chat.

ChatGPT can use NameFlow through a custom connector (an MCP server). Once connected, ask it to find available domain names, compare first-year and renewal prices, buy one and set it up.

Connect NameFlow to ChatGPT

  1. In ChatGPT, open Settings and find the section for connectors or apps. On some plans you first turn on developer mode there to add custom connectors.
  2. Create a new connector, name it NameFlow, and paste this address: https://mcp.nameflow.dev/mcp
  3. Choose OAuth sign-in, save, then sign in to NameFlow (or create a free account) and approve.
  4. In a chat, make sure NameFlow is turned on for the conversation.

Custom connectors aren't available on every ChatGPT plan, and workspace admins can turn them off.

Try it

  • "Use NameFlow to find a short .io name for a developer tool, under $40 a year."
  • "Check these six names on .com and tell me which renew cheapest."
  • "Point my domain at Netlify."

Buying

ChatGPT gives you a link and you buy on nameflow.dev, or, if you allowed purchases for this connection in your NameFlow account, it can buy within your limits with your saved card. See how purchases work.

Disconnect

Remove the connector in ChatGPT's settings, or choose Disconnect under Connected AI apps in your NameFlow account.
